Exclamation FC Front Mount Oil Cooler Lines...Would these work?

SO i have an FC FMIC (Front mount oil cooler) on my 85 FB with a 12A and the lines have gone bad and have leaked oil all over my engine bay. I know these are hard to find and I am wondering if these ones will work: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1986-...spagenameZWDVW

I wasnt the one who installed the oil cooler so i am not sure if they standard FC 13B lines will work the same on my 12A. Thanks for the input!

The FC oil cooler fittings are M18x1.5 thread pitch. Just buy some M18x1.5 adapters to convert to whatever size oil lines you want, I use -10. You can find these fittings at summitracing.com.

Then you can buy/make your own lines pretty easily.

Do not get the ebay lines. I don't know about you, but I don't know what "normal seepage" is. Any seepage is bad seepage.

Mazdatrix and Racingbeat both sell very high quality oil cooler lines. These will last the lifetime of the car. You just need to make sure you have the right threaded adapters.

The Mazdatrix and Racing Beat hoses are great, but will not work with the 12a/FB/2nd Gen oil cooler combination.
The radiator and the sway bar are in the way of the fittings and the oil cooler is too wide for the stock GSL/GSL-se location.
Because of this, you will need to make your own hoses and work out where to mount and plumb the lines.
Aeroquip SS hose is the best to use or the Socketless fittings on the blue hose.

Here is a thread on mounting the FC Oil Coolers.

I ended up going to a specialty hose and fitting store: A-1. They made up new lines and put some 90 degree fittings from the block so that there's less stress on the lines. Spent $180 for both but they will last probably longer than my car ever will

Can you post the specs and price in those hoses? I'm looking at doing the same thing.

It's easier and cheaper to reuse the FC fittings and have a local hydraulic shop make up the lines. Read my writeup in the archives.
