FB's and brain damage
I sort of curious about this having done this a couple times myself, and reliving the pain watching a friend do it a couple days ago.
Have you or any of your passengers ever bashed their head off the top of the door frame while entering the car?
It's hurts like a bitch...

love the braaaap
Geez, I'm 6'3" and I haven't bashed my head on my 7's doorframe. Ironically, I did bash my head on my previous Jeep YJ's hard top a couple times. Now that hurts like a bitch.

Haha, I've done it a couple times when in a hurry, and I've had a LOT of friends do it...i'd say at least half the people who enter my car have hit their head at least once, lol.

I'm 5'11" and I drove the car for well over a year without hitting my head. My sister, who is 5'1" has hit her head a few times. So has my daughter, who is also 5'1".
I finally hit my head on the underside of the door jam trying to get in with dirty hands over the weekend, while installing the FC FMOC...........

I don't think I've ever hit my head on the doorframe itself, but when working on the car I've bashed my head SEVERAL times.
I hear a noise, I turn my head really quickly...*SMACK*...exhaust pipe.
I finally get finished with beating some rusty old brakes into submission, and I lay back for a breather. *SMACK!* There's a tire laying there.
Subborn, rusty old bolt that won't come off. You're giving it your all on the ratchet because you're too lazy to get the breaker bar, you've sprayed it down with PB blaster so it's a little slippery, then your hand or ratchet slips and *BAM SONUVABITCH* hit my head against a piece of frame.
The stories go on forever.

I've sustained several minor injuries over the years, including once or twice with the door frame. My buddy got injured the worst working on my car though. We were in a local RX-7 junkyard pulling a disc brake axle for my swap and the wheel well on the donor car had totally rotted away, leaving a jagged skin of metal behind. We were taking turns trying to get the bolts from the upper suspension link off and my buddies hand slipped and he caught his elbow on the rusted wheel well and gave himself a nasty gash. To this day I feel guilty about that.

I think the brain damage comes from the gas fumes and your brain getting bashed around from taking corners too fast.
A coworker complains that every time he drives behind me he can smell fuel for the first miniute or so while the choke is on. :P

Damn, it did start!
moses, you win the prize. I had left blood offerings to the 7 but could never use the word "gash"

When working on a first gen, I have a bad habit of standing in the door swing area as I close the door on my way to the engine bay. I catch myself in the chest with the top of the window frame.
