That is pretty cool. But I've never heard it called the fb3s? I thought that designation was used regularly with the fc

They would be cooler without the turbo on them IMO. Make it look more like a rotor with the gear teeth and oil rings and stuff instead. Other than that, they are pretty cool!

The way I understood it was the FBs have 3 series'. 79-80 SA's are series 1, 81-83 FBs are series 2, and 84-85 FBs are series 3. Thus 86-88 (I think) FCs are series 4, and 89-92 FCs are series 5 for the second gens. Hence people talking about series 4 or 5 second gen engines, turbos, intakes, etc.

Yeah, it's not FB3S,

But I LOVE The Turbo Rotor...
I have a couple of stickers with that Turbo rotor somewhere..

I want one (a couple actually).

I want it to say:

Turbo FB
-------------
Mazda RX-7

But with the "shaded" background - like Model "F"

I thought that even FC3S was incorrect, and the correct code is FB35?

I was thinking he was trying to say FB3S as in its a first gen (FB) series 3 (3S), but if he was trying to go for the chasis code, then a 13B car would be FB33, and a 12A car would be FB31? (I cant remember! ). And if thats where the FC3S came from (chasis code), as well as the FD3S, then that makes sense. I never really understood the FC3S either, because to me it shouldve been FC4S or FC5S, but like I said, if the chasis code of a 2nd gen is FC3S, then it all makes sense to me now. Been here this long and just now figured that out, lol.

Well, the first gens came with two engine options, and the chasis code changes with the engine, so as I said, the 12A cars had one code, and the 13B cars had another, and the 79-80s had yet another. I would say if you were to do it again, just make it simple and put "FB" over the "Mazda RX-7", and make another version that has "SA" over it for the 79-80 guys.

There are 2 main designations to the FC. FC33 and FC35. The 33 means coupe and 35 means convertible.

Just put down "Savanna" or "Project 605"...

Or you could use Ye Olde RX-7 logo.

It looks like you made that keychain for the fc3s, then just changed the c to a b. that would also explain the misnomer "fb3s" that none of us have ever heard of.

notice how the letter style or font is basically the type used on second gens.

Ive heard people call it a series 3 FB though, havent you? lol Its FB3S, as in first gen series 3, lol. Thus you could have an FB2S and an FB1S also. It kinda makes sense
