Fb or SA what is it?
Technically the FC was 86-92 and the FD was 93-95 if you're going about us sales. If you go by Japanese sales it all get's thrown off. SA:78-79 FB:80-84 FC-85-91 and FD: 92-02

The NA sales figure in 92 according to my source was 6,006 RX-7s.
Further to my earlier post the SA22C sequence was 11 digits, changing to 17digits for the FB sequence

The first production SA built in March 1978, was called a 1979 model! Thus the model ran from 78-85.

The S was very basic, for example minimum audio equipment.
The GL came with a few luxuries which can be checked easily, centre armrest with storage compartment, tinted windscreen, lighting in the cargo area.
The LTD Edition was in silver with sunroof, trimming was in red.
The GSL came with tweed or leather upholstery, with a range of luxury options depending on how good the sales person was.
Quite often the GS had GSL options added, the quickest check is the seating upholstery
