will an fb rear seat fit in to an fc? Im trying to talk my wife into letting me get an fc with our tax money but it would have to be a 2+2 unlesss..... the back seat thats in my 83 parts car will bolt right in.

 

If you're thinking of putting some kids in the back of a FC forget it

Even my dog (labrador) hates it back there, in the FB and the FC as well.....don't know the average size of the Japanees but thre's just no room. But the backseat of my FB is almost similar to the one in the FC. If it bolts right in, i''m not sure.

 

Im not sre if the FB seats will fit. I do see 2+2 FC seats all the time at the junkyard. Maybe you could try your local yards. I agree with Marx I installed a set in my SA, my dog nor my son like riding back there.

 

I've sold 2 FC rear seats to FB owners. If yours is a true FB rear seat, you shouldn't have any trouble getting rid of it. My FC has the rear seats, the back is always folded down for the extra hatch space. Nearly 10 years ago my nieces rode in the back of the FC, both with narrow hips and were pre to early teens. They both refused to ride in the back ever again and haven't since.

 

I see FC rear seats at local junkyards all the time but as usual, if I dont need it, no one else can use it lolllll

 

I know that front seats are interchangable between first and second gens - are the rear seats as well?

Please, please tell me they are!

 

I believe the 2nd gens seats will fit the FBs. Neither of the buyers I've sold to have reported back good or bad on fitment.

 

I know this post is pretty old now, but are you saying that FC seats from 86-88 will fit in my FB '83 without any special modifications? Has anyone here ever done that?

 

They do. you have to play with them a lil. Looks tacky and isn't comftable IMO. Once it warms up I'll be pulling mine out.
