FB Holley intake manifold on SA

Can you make a FB holley intake manifold(off a 82)with the rectangular center port work on a earlier 79 12a engine?

Racing Beat sells the same manifold for all '79-85 12A's. RB lists different intake's for earlier 12A's '71-73 & '74-78.
