Like Nick stated. I put my original Sa door that has been in the box since 1980 on ebay. The highest bid was $26.00,lol. For a door that costs $900.00 new. Needless to say, I still have it.

Depends on how available JY doors are.

Incidentally, there are two types of doors, depending on how the interior door panels are mounted. And they're incompatible, as far as the panels are concerned, so a guy could end up with different panels on driver and passenger sides. My 83GS and 85SE have the kind with mounting screws thru the armrest and the pull handle a little rearward, and the 85GSL has the kind with pull handle more forward, fingertip cups for closing, and concealed mounting screws. The two styles don't swap. Strange, eh? Especially since the 85GSL and 85GSL-SE are different, tho both have electric windows and are the same year. On the contrary, the 83 with manual windows has the same mount as the 85SE with power. It's a mystery to me.

Actually you can make any year door panel work on any year Sa or FB. It's a matter of adding or removing small attaching points on the inner door. And of course using the appropriate ones for either power or manual windows. And you can change from power to manual or manual to power.

when i wanted manual windows in my se, i paid $200 for a pair of complete 83 doors at a junkyard. but they were rusted through at the bottom, and all that was good in them was the windows, window lifts, and door panels.

You should acqaint yourself with the picknpull lots in TX. Fortunately, they have a halfprice sale this weekend at DFW. The RX-7 inventory varies a lot at PnP, so you gotta do a lot of walking.
