Fast Idle Opening Angle
Hello there, I've finally rebuilt my carburetor and am about to bolt it to the engine. But upon reading the mazda carb manual on foxed.ca the "off vehicle adjustments" on page 71 call for checking the clearance of the primary throttle to the wall of the throttle bore and I'm unsure of how to bend my fast idle rod so there is around a 1mm gap. At the moment there is no gap and the throttle valve does not move when I move the fast idle rod up and down. Did I not orient the linkage correctly to open the primary throttle valve when the choke is fully closed?
There is no gap between the primary throttle/throttle wall and operating the choke simply moves the butterfly valve in the air horn. Is something terribly wrong?
Stuff like this happens when you put off working on a car too long...
