Fan Relay

What is this cooling fan relay that I have on my 85 GS? What the heck is it for? It sounds like it's for an electric fan, but I have a stock fan with the clutch. Anyone know what it's for? Maybe the A/C?

Is it the plug/sensor at the bottom of your rad? I think I read in a FSM or something thats what thats called. As far as I know, no FBs ever has electric fans on them, AC or not.

It's not at the bottom of the radiator. It's actually up on the driver's side fender wall, near the hot start assist location.
