Question fan clutch

will the fan clutch from a 79 fit a 85?are the GS and gslse fan clutches different?

From what I have seen there are not any differences in any of the fans.

Nope, should be the same for 12a and 13b models. They do use the same bolt pattern, and show as same stock # from Mazda.

Be sure that your isn't leaking and does have resistance to turning when cold. As it heats up, the oil creates additional resistance to spin the fan blades faster. HTH,

There ARE differences. So far, all I know is '81-'82 are different from '84-'85. The bolt spacing is different on the fan. The spacers are different too. The only similarity is the bolt spacing on the waterpump.
