Factory wheels/tires

I remember fitting 205/60/13 tires on my first Rex with factory wheels, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know, will these fit the factory, stock wheels?

what are the stock tire size..
i need some new rubber (and cannot get new wheels yet) so i am probably going to go and get a cheep set for 100 all the way around..

i will probably go with 205's now that i know they will fit

205/60 will fit,
also if you wanna go cheap get the sumitomo from tirerack.com

there the cheapest and one of the best looking and have great road holding ability in warm weather

the 215/50 will also fit if you want to go extreme
sumitomo also makes a tire in that size

the stock size is 185/70

the sumitomo's are the htr 200 series
i have them on my car now the 205/60

additional points are that the sumitomo's are "H" speed rated "130mph"

while replacment tires are only "S" speed rated "112mph"

and cheapo replacment or stock tires are "R" speed rated "106mph"

if do get the 205/60's
i would imagine that i would need to adjust my speedo
correct?

i did not think that 215's would fit on a 13in rim

13in diameter isn't the problem, its that little 5.5in width

your speedo barley even gets thrown off.

i found a calculator on line that would tell you the diference,
it had soemthing to do with corvettes,
the smallest rim size to choose was a 14" but the diference is the same from a 185/75 to a 205/60

its only off by like 1 or 2 mph at 40

just remember your going slower then your speedo says,
good way to not get a ticket for speeding

yup yup.. i am going to do that soon.. i cannot afford to get new wheels now (since i want to do suspension first) but i definatly need new rubber.. if 205/60's fit on the stock rims, then that is what i will get... damn knows i need something other than those dry rotted bicycle tires that are on there right now...

I have the 205/50/13's on my car, (sumitomo) and they handle great, it's the take off when they suck. I can take them through 3rd and spin them like no other if i get on it and let it go!!!!!

i would not expect them to be all that good.. it is only going to be a temporary thing for me.. until i can get a set of either 15 or 17 in wheels.. then the real fun begins.. hands up for traction..

brake : where do you see a difference now that you have 195's in the front? i thought that 205's would work just fine.

i wouldn't try a 215/50 on a 5.5" rim, too wide. i think my current 195/60 front and 205/60 rear handles better then when i had 205's all around.
i seen a pic with it done and asked what size and brand they were,
sure enough sumitomo 215/50 on the stock 13" rim,

dont know if he had any rubbing problem though

i think that i would stick with no larger than 205's on a 13x5.5 rim... i do believe you that they will fit, just donot think that i would want to push it that much... on 15's or 17's sure, but something about having that much rubber on a 13 just does not seem right
