F@$%ing window regulators... again!

Ok, I got another regulator from a member here on the forum. I greased the spring, the gear teeth, all of the sildes and then installed it. This one didn't have any play in the handle, so it was a lot better then my old one. Got it all installed and tightened, went to roll the window down and it came off track. Put it back on track rolled it down again, same thing. Is there some adjustment on the reg that I am just not seeing? Like some sort of slide adjustment .... I am loosing my mind and cannot put a stereo in the car until I figure this out.

On a positive note, the crank is no longer stiff and hard to roll up or down.

peace

The two bolts in the window regulator toward the rear side of the door are for adjusting how the window slides in the track. -WG

Yeah I have the same problem. I initially kludge'd a solution together by just adjusting the rail nearest to the door hinge, but that really only solved part of the problem.

Guess I'll be looking at those rear bolts next time.

is the tracks on the regulator falling out out??? or the window falling off the regulator??

if the window is falling off, check the little plastic things that hold it on are not broken.

mine were broken so i just used a small bolt that went thru the reglator and tru the window, and used a ruber gromit on either side of the window so when i tightened the bolt is didnt smash the window.... and hasn't broken since.

No the window is falling out of the tracks in the front (nearest the hinge) but rolls up and down just fine if I pull on it. Im going to adjust the bolts tomarrow.
