Extreme 1st Gen video

**Not that I am condoning this**

For those of you who think a V8 in a 1st Gen throws off the balance,
and handling of the car..

For those of you that think it wouldn't be able to hang with a rotary
powered RX-7, "In the Twisties".

Just shut the #$% up now..

gay... i jus dont see the point in puttin a "bigger engine" in a 7.... how would you feel if a rotary engine was as big as the v8? would ppl start put rotary in a mustang or some muscle cars?? Rotary maybe small but if u can get it as strong as those v8 then you are good..

Takes more money to build a rotary/import than a domestic.

i can appreciate it for what it is. a pretty COOL car!!! don't think it will ever quite be my cup of tea, but ...

on a sidenote ... everyone's entitled to their opinion, but the bottomline is that when most of you are at home and it's midnight and you think no one else is in the closet with you, you know you admit it to yourself. "this car can probably kick your ***!" and yes ... i can hear you.

What better car for someone looking to do a V-8 swap into a light RWD chassis?Anything else would be too heavy(domestic),too small(average import) or too rare (70's Z maybe).

1st gens are cheap, plentiful, handle decently when stock, have lots of engine bay room, and many dont run in the first place.......Im all for rotary power, but geez what is wrong with people? Just let others do the kind of custom work that they wanna do, and you do what you wanna do!!...reffering to the comments on the host site.

Well, unlike some others here, I have no problem with other engine swaps into a 7. I actually thought of doing a ford 302 or buick turbo 3.8 back when my first engine died in the 82 GSL. A ford 302 from the 80's is actually not a whole lot heavier than a fully dressed 13B turbo, about 400lb I think. The problem comes when people decide to put a big 3L inline 6 from a supra or a heavy chevy V8 engine into a 7. Thats what throws off the balance. A general iron block chevy 305 weighs in at an amazing 650lb I think. With the supra engine, its not the weight by the center of gravity that throws it off, its a high center of gravity, very high.
