whats the verdict?

my exhaust will glow red when i sit and rev but thats because i
am running a holley for a streetport, and i am only stock

one thing i did with my 2gc tho is ran thicker wire to it and
it helped alot, alot less cutting out while driving

Your timing may be slightly retarded (firing a tad too late). A timing light is a very good investment....

And I had the cat removed and it has a backfire going on while the choke is on but only when the chokes on I havent let it warm
Up with the choke on like I did when it went red because I don't like it backfiring while chokes on

Yes with cat gone mine
Is backfiring but it's more of a sputter but I can't say that because while it's warming
Up with the choke on in the dark I can see the puffs of smoke along with the noise but it is definitely more than a sputter. Maybe I am thinking to much about this tho?

if you'v got the choke on the car isent going to idle/fast idle smooth. since its going to be rich. mine pops and puffs away wile on choke also. if i let the choke go when its got enough warmth in it she settles down to a dead smooth idle. so if your off choke idle is full of vibrations and pops and sputters then be worried.

if it sounds like this before he kill it because its too cold then its fine.

uh could you use a proper pc mobile links dont work on pc.

and here is the video after a bit of work

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ki_yKsa0vzY

as for that your paranoid. also your car is really quiet.

heres my cold start. (with cats) and dead cold

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaRBX...2&feature=plcp

here it is at about 50c or so and trying to make it backfire. the second part is full op temp and purrs untill i pull the choke to try and get flames to come out. (yes i ment to shut it off to try and get bacfire... it failed. and yes i know the starter was like **** YOU!!!!. it rairly dose that)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uzjn-...1&feature=plcp

since i got the circulating heater in it and took the cat out it starts easyer and dosent pop nearly as much. it also sounds a bit different. i had found out that i had melted a hole in my cat... it also glow'd bright red untill past the end of the door. now with the cat out theres no glow or discoloration on the replacement pipe asides from where it was welded. i may make another video with the cat out.

so unless someone says theres something wrong (asides from the obvious i'v mentioned) then i wouldent be worried

Awesome thx you. It's good to know I can't and literally mean can't do **** with this iPad lol except for view and comment.... Pathetic apple truly sad as for your help thank you. very helpfulF man and much appreciated I was only worried cause it only started to happen after the exhaust went red and the cat got removed(which was hollow anyway) that it started to happen. And yea I always find that other ppls exhaust sounds more raspey and poppy than mine? Not a concern tho lol
