exhaust temp.
I'm not sure, it happens on RX-7 race cars with mostly stock engines, can get red glowing hot on the header. Now if you put the manifold under some pressure (engine flexing too much, accident, or something like that) when it's hot, the header is basically shot, cause it's going to bend REAL easy.
Maybe the cat is clogged? I dunno

ANYTHING getting red hot is a major fire hazard. Something is surely wrong, I am guessing that your cat is clogged up. I would fix it and not have that worry. Also, in the mean time don't park over grass, you will ignite it and your car will go up with it.

allright guess i'll spring for that stuff a lil sooner, im not sure yet, what I am suppose to be getting, a powerpulse muffler, a header, and a presilencer, what else is there that is the usual buy from racing beat??
Spring for the complete system, I believe you save a few greenbacks by not buying seperately. Get a midpipe with no cats or get your local muffler shop man to weld up a pipe with a new random tech high flow cat or something of the like. Running without a cat can be kinda smelly and/or loud. You'll need to do this since the RB system does not includ it and buying that piece from RB is probably a waste of money because a muffler man can do the same for much cheaper. This is just the midpipe I'm talking about him doing.
I run a RB header, and an RB presilencer into a Monza muffler. I would forget about the cat unless you have emissions laws. If so, forget my advice, I don't have a clue how to pass any emissions tests. This is Kansas, we don't even teach evolutionary theory in schools anymore, much less worry about the environment.
just my opinion, i could be wrong,
