exhaust questions

how loud do you think it would be to use just 2 rb universal 2.5 in inside diameter mufflers? also, what do you think about 1 borla xr1 followed by a flowtech warlock?

The RB oval muffler is a little bit big for the cat location. It would fit in the rear just fine as the RB power pulse main muffler is 8 x 18 round.

I'm going with a Borla Pro XS in the cat location because it is only 14 long x 4 tall x 9 1/2 wide. I'll have to get under there and take some careful measurements before buying one, but I believe it will fit.

Be VERY sure to get some thickwall pipe from Racing Beat. They sell it in 2.5 OD. It's .120" or 1/8" wall thickness. Not sure of the guage number. Like 10 or 11 guage? Whatever. Just don't get any of that cheap aluminized thinwall crap from muffler shops. You'll hate yourself for cheaping out on the piping and the exhaust system will sound retarded. The PO of my REPU did that and it sounds ridiculous - can't carry on a normal conversation while driving.

As for the diameter, I think 2.5" is a little big for a 2 rotor, but get it and let us know how your low end is affected. I'd go no bigger than 2.25 personally, or even 2.0 depending on the intended use of the vehicle.
