exhaust pipe adapter FREE BEER

Ok the free beer was to get the serious wrench heads in here which probably miserably failed. I need the dual 1 1/2" pipes out of the prislencer of my 82 to become dual 2 1/2" pipes before my borla. Is there something i can buy like a 1" increasing adapter... or should i lathe this in the schools machine shop?

I am sure you could find an adaptor, but im not sure where. it might just be easier to machine them. I would maybe taper the inside between the 1" and 2" sections to keep everything flowing as smoothly as possible.

oh, do I get free beer now?

Well, depending on how much space you have you could go to advanced auto and buy there aluminized adapters. you will probably need two for each side. go with a 1.5-2 weld that to a 2-2.5 that would cost about $7.00 in parts and you could cut them down to make them shorter.

Just a simple idea, hope it helps. Sure is shady under my tree

A muffler shop can do that. They just slide a bigger pipe over the smaller pipe and weld it. Keep going bigger until 2.5"

summitracing.com also sells "exhaust reducers" of various sizes. Turn it around and it's an expander!

also if you bore it out yourself you want a nice 45* or smaller angle of merge.
