on my gs i was able to use the original pipe. but an ideal is to weld the peatcock from the original pipe to the new pipe.

sound. i had the same 2.5" setup with one 6" round magnaflow and i got another muffler the next day! It made it hard to hear yourself think above 3k. Look into a borla presilencer.

it sounds rotary. Not too much like it. There is a RX-3 with a 13BT downpipe only here at the drag strip and it sounds nothing like any other (piston) car. Borla seems to be the best sounding, yet *some* have tried flowmaster with mixed opinions, most of them don't like. There was someone recently who had a flowmaster in and liked it, maybe you could ask for a sound clip?
You have to have a cat in ks? In mo, it's no problem and i'm emissions exempt

Let me start this by saying that I know practically nothing about exhaust. I didn't see any exhaust specific section in the FAQ, if there is a good page for information on exhaust please direct me towards it.

Does anyone else have any experience with exhaust? What brand mufflers are quieter? Do presilencers restrict air flow? I looked and Borla doesn't have exhaust specifically for a 1985 RX-7 GSL and directed me to their "Universal" section. Can I buy the manifold, presilencer, pipes, and muffler all in one big package? Is Monza any good?

What is that? Catback exhaust, muffler? or can you also get manifolds from Magnaflow? How much of a difference would there be in using a catback or putting headers on there and eliminating the catalytic converter all together? I live in Florida, there are no emissions tests, I have no idea if eliminating the cat is illegal or not here.

Can I install headers, a high-flow cat, and different muffler? Or is it best to just eliminate the cat all togheter if I install headers?

Once again, I really have no idea when it comes to exhaust, or too much about cars in general, I'm a PC guy.
