Didn't you get the snow last Wednesday?

We had about 9-10" in GR.

My car has been in the garage for a few weeks already. I have too much other stuff keeping me busy.

Mine was put away for the winter at the end of October. My insurance renewal happens Nov 1st, and I don't see any point to putting "full" insurance on for the 6mo of winter, so I put it away then. It's sad to have to go through all the steps of winter-prepping the engine, removing the battery, tarping the car etc.... She sits now under her soft polysomethingorother compound tarp, with about 5cm of snow on her (first snowfall today), patiently waiting the winter out.

I wish I had a garage so I could work on her during the winter but alas, I do not.

Jon

No snow here in NH yet but threats of sleet/freezing rain tonight.

She's been in the garage since i picked her up last Tuesday. Time for the headlights, RB Holley, and carpet!

My 7 is an all weather beast, at least until I can get my beater running. My brother tossed all the bearings in his '77 Honda Civic, but if I can get it going again, she's MINE!

It's funny you brought up this subject.......because i been feeling the same as you.

Two weekends ago i put my RX-7 in storage, and yesterday we had our first big
snow fall here in Rockford, illinois. They started dumping salt on the streets &
roads.

I been having withdrawals. It's tuff not cruising and enjoing seeing it out there.
Right now she is sitting under a cover, covered in snow. I also wish i had the use
of the garage. It will be a long winter without her.

Can't wait for spring!

Myc1972

Ps: Hope to move out of the snow belt soon!

I can't say that I put mine up for winter... its my daily driver right now. I do have a 1 car garage, but it is the home to my pride and joy, a '66 ford mustang fully restored and built well. I would like to keep my 7 indoors so it stays nice cause its in pretty good shape. The 7 keeps my sports car driving needs in check in the off season. Plus its fun to go in circles. I can just hope the dame thing starts all winter.

Damn, you guys should feel lucky... Here in Norway, we have about 5 FEET of snow where i live! It came so fast, i didnt even have the time to change to winter tires.. But it is in a garage tough, and next week, she will be moving to a 900 square feet workshop me and a couple of friends rented!

We shold make a thread about what we are planning to do this winter, my plans are FB seats, fine tuning the Dellorto, and repainting!

Tried that last year, no snowchains tough, got to be careful!

Found out that the RX-7 isnt a winter car, just wants to drift!

Frode, what kind of car do you have? Been to any of the Aukra meetings?

My 85 is still in the driveway, my neighbor turned me in for having junk cars about, so I drive it through his driveway now and then,Been thinking of superglueing his garage door,so his crap has to sit out like mine.

Next time tell your nosy neighbor to pay your home taxes or your rent if he
wants to stick his nose into your business!

Kick his butt!

Mortenf....there was a thread about what people were planning to do to their cars
during winter not long ago.

Yeah, i wish one could move to South california but you guys have Arnold as Gov,
tough emissions, and high real state prices.

My seven is officially away for the winter, although I had to push it into the garage because my fuel pump decided to quit on me right before I wanted to put it away. Oh well, now I have all winter to fix it up, and it's on dolleys so I can move it around the garage (although it is much harder than I had hoped and anticipated). Hopefully new seats and stereo over the winter, and next spring she is going to get a new paint job. Can't wait for the spring.

morten: No. I have never been to any of the meetings. I'm a member of the register though.

I have a 1980 model SA with 13BT swap, streetport, 62-1 turbo and all the goodies. It's still under build-up.

Cant kick his butt, he is about 7 foot tall and a cop. He gets my superglue first. It worked on the neighbor kid's rice grinder bike though , took three days to figure it out. Mister Wilson.
