Ok, E10 as Bayce has mentioned, seems to be pretty well informed of gas with 10%ethanol added. The water holding capcity of ethanol in gas is slight. If you were to add too much water, it would seperate the gasoline from the achohol. This is apparrent if you have a test beaker filled with E10 and add some water. The ethanol will seperate out with the water and it will be apparrent about 90% is gas and the bottom 10% is water and ethanol mixed. IF the water content is too high, it will not mix with gasoline obviously. But if it stays mixed, its well below the thresh hold of doing any damage to the fuel system.

I completely agree also, that Ethanol is safe at 10% additive with gasoline. Anything more then that requires different carb jets or a EFI system with a density sensor in the tank. OR if you have a Haltech, Microtech, what have you, ..you can change your fuel map and have the correct A/F ratio for whatever mixture you want to run.
