estimated power for my new setup

I have a 83 GS. I'm putting a 13B engine, from a gsl-se.

here are my mods:

Dellorto Carb DHLA48 with RB intake upper manifold
Complete road race RB exhaust system
Carter fuel pump
RB fpr
NGK platinums

how much power should it make ? I heard 180hp is what i'm going to have, but, any other ideas ?

Thanks

Max

i want something that still gets decent mileage and will last a good white...if i wanted a race car i'd get the j-bridge, but this will also be my daily driver.

you will probably get around 140-150 at the wheels, so that's close to 180hp at the flywheel.

I think 140-150 is kind of high. I would think about 120 to the wheels.

If you already know then why the thread

180 fwhp is what proabably pretty close. I see you've dropped the turbo 13B idea....

pillage6, hes putting the carb on the SE engine...stock SE's with headers will make more than 120 to the wheels I think. Why would you guess so low? That 180hp at the flywheel number should be about right.

I just like to figure low since bench racing always figure high and they never, well almost never, hit those numbers.

fatboy7 : Yeah, i was very sad about dropping the turbo project. My budget was to tight. And the guy who was helping me, told me he would'nt do it cause it was too difficult with the wiring etc... And the major problem, is that it's his garage, so i had a good SE motor at my place, i decided to just buy a 13B header and somes gaskets, and swap it in the car. Less trouble, less money, so it'll be faster than my 12A anyways.

Talk to you later

Why not try blow through carb? No wiring there, not too expensive. I am starting my TII swap pretty soon and that is how I will be going.
