estimate HP on my...

Okay I'm looking for a general horsepower estimate of this motor based on current build. I have a:

-completely rebuilt JDM 12at
-new garret 40mm single turbo
-lightened rotors
-full streetport
-polished internals
-lightened flywheel
-RB header
-3mm apex seals
-RB header

Theres more but I think these are the only relevant ones

if you have a turbo, how do you have 2 headers?

My crystal ball says, {yes I borrowed it back from the polisher just for this thead, it has to be returned by Midnight}, that only a dyno will tell for sure.

More specs needed on the turbo, boost levels, ecu, injectors, etc.. The stock 12AT procuced 165 hp, iirc.

Get yourself a G-Tech Pro (or some other performance meter) off eBay. If you can weigh your car, make a few 1/4 mile passes with the G-Tech, enter the weight, and it will calculate the rwhp.
Or, if there's a 1/4 mile dragstip nearby, I can give you the mathmatic formula to calculate it yourself.
Oh, yeah, there's always a dyno, too.

Personally, if you can run your car at a dragstrip, who care about hp figures anyway. Low et's are what counts, right?

So very true. A time slip or dyno sheet is worth so much more than an estimate from a G-Tech or a thread full of half-assed guesses on a forum.

Yea,we need more.

That laundry list doesnt really say anything about the engine's capacity to make HP.For forced induction engines, its not how much power you can make, its usually how much power can the fuel/air system support? When done right, HP can be upped to nearly any level within a given turbo,s CFM range,or the engine's mechanical abilities(depending on your expected lifespan of the engine)

To give you an answer anywhere more accurate than....say,180-400HP(which is COMPLETELY reasonable for a built 12AT).......we need to know more about your induction system,injector/carb size, fuel pump, intercooling, turbo family/trim/size,ignition control system,ECU,engine build level,ect......

problem with the whole actually doing the quarter mile...car is still on stands in the middle of my shop waiting to be painted...as per header...I have no excuse for what I said...got full microtech system...FI, boost controll...etc...probably going to run 10 or 11 psi 42mm compressor wheel, 60 trim, A/R 0.8, 22*9*3 intercooler, new stock injector size, upgraded gsl-se fuel pump, will be getting a walboro fuel pump 255lph...basically relatively low boost to increase engine life...

250-275 crank HP should be nice and doable with what you got, provided you install 2 more injectors.(Some 550cc primaries, and putting the 800cc 12AT stockers in a secondary position, would be best.)
Streetport will help you make more power with less manifold pressure, making life easier for the turbo. You could probably hit 300HP and still be in range of the turbo's capacity, leave that to whoever tunes it.Standalone ECU means youll never run out of control, just keep things within the turbos and fuel systems capacities, and youll be able to continually raise the HP levels till your happy.

Sounds like a good start!
