EOI: plug and play relay kit for gen 1 rx7 powerwindows!

i hope this is the right place to post this. sorry mods if it isnt

now ive developed a kit that fits into the gen 1 power window circuit and im starting to build them.

basically what happens if you buy the kit is basically you unplug the powerwindow switch from the car loom near the console where the switches are mounted.

then plug my kit into the original plugs and wala

the switches will work the relays and the relays will work the window motors.

no more carbonised contacts stopping your powerwindows from working.

you dont have to be an auto electrician to install it as its plug and play.

price will be $200 AUS

so what ya's reckon??? opinions?

ps if ya powerwindows dont work atm then the kit wont fix the problem.

you need to either clean the contacts of the switch or find the broken wire thats not making the windows work first before installing the kit.

Not to flame or anything. But in the USA bosche relays are only about $1.00 each and there are only 4 needed for that job so with wiring and all I have done it myself for only about $6.00 total cost. You have a great idea to relieve the currant draw through the switches. However even in aussy dollars 200 is about 150 aussy dollars to much.

ive thought of this exact same thing and i was thinking of selling it for like $50.

I have never actually built one, but i can get relays really cheap, and i've been wiring up cars for about 7 years now, so I know what im doing. I wasn't going to make the kit plug and play, but instead a cut and splice deal (with all butt connectors and such included) and step by step instructions on which color wires to hook up. The only difference was i had planned on having a whole new switch assembly, with new aftermarket LIGHTED switches, that don't stick and have good contacts. Ideally i would build a complete replacement panel for the s2, and s3 fitments.

This would be extremely simple to do, and its a good idea sim_rx3, its just not worth $200 aus.
