oh cmon, just make a whole carbon fiber car

seems overkill to me, no contrast, itd be nice as an insert though

on second thought, my clips holdin my panel on are really annoying and only half of them are still working, so maybe if another 2 clips go im down for some, haha

For FB's etc I will just leave the extra hole for window winder out. Prices will depend on numbers and if I make them in Aus or get them done in the US

git er done in the US and i might get them if i dont just make door panels out of aluminum, or maybe do a package deal with a cf tII style hood and these 2 door panels for cheaper than buying them seperately.

More details, please...

The door panel is very interesting. I've been wanting to do either a complete door panel or as part of an insert design; however, I have yet to attempt such a large piece. The fact is that I don't have any real experience in doing this. I've done some samples by placing them on a piece of acrylic sheet as a non-stick surface; and to get a nice gloss finish. The 3-D effect is awesome.

Do you use a vacuum system? Or is the method to simply roll-in some epoxy onto a large carbon fiber tweed, getting out the air bubbles, on a flat glossy non-stick surface and let it harden? How'd you get a 2mm thickness? Did you use a type of mold and pour the epoxy thickness in layers?

I noticed on my sample pieces that you can cut it with a good pair of scissors before it hardens completely.

I wouldn't mind a couple shots of the top of the door... My panel goes all the way up, and I'd like to see how this would look....
