engine wont start pleassssee help

engine wont start pleassssee help

just bought a 1st generation 12a to put into my truck (wanted something different) have it wired straight with ignition coils and starter got it fired once but wont go again. someone suggested the timeing but cant set that with out it running if anyone has ideas on what to check it would be greatly appreciated. it is getting gas and spark.

how are your vaccume lines if you have any? also, are you sure you have the feed and return lines on the carb correct?

as far as the vacumm hoses not hooked up yet, carb on it has no return valve not stock carburator

hook up all the vacume lines and try again. It is posible the engine is flooded, how is the fuel filter?

If it's wired straight, I'll bet he toasted the ignitors, unless he's running an ancient dual point system....

get spark and fuel it start s to start but wont go all the way if that makes sense ignitors cant be fried if its getting spark right we started it twice but cant get it to go again

pull the plugs and give er a crank. this will blow out any fuel in the engine if its flooded. clean and dry the plugs and try again.

put some oil in the carb so that both rotors get it,and try again.
make sure no wires to the oil sensor is touching and blown a fuse.
or carb air lock,make sure vents are open to tank, and gas is still flowin'.

Get another truck and pull your truck and pull start it. See if that works. I know most of mine and my friends 7 started for the 1st times. If it starts, turn it off and try starting it. If it doesn't start. I can't really help you there. Try the pull start thing and let me know how it goes. I wouldn't push...unless you have a few people. My friend and I tried that and it sucked after the 7th time.
