Engine Vents

Hey there gurus!
Newb question here. I have 2 hoses the P.O. capped and was wondering what they were. Pics included. Im guessing the top one in picture one is the engine breather ???? The bottom one I have no clue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, there is a wire coming form my dizzy between the 2 vacuum pots. What does it do? The P.O. didnt have it connected either but it still seemed to have ran. And this is a 12A in a bug....thanks for all your help.

the side one is for you oil cooler. its what we call the beehive type oil cooler. its a coolant line for the water to air oil cooler. the one on the top of your engine is for emissions. it should connect to your dashpot.
