Engine Swap

Hey guys, I have a 1985 Rx7 with a 12a. This guy i know has a TII engine that he said he would sell me for pretty cheap. Im thinking of buying it as long as it comes with an ecu and a transmition. I really want to do the swap but my father doesnt i could do the swap and i would just let get half way done and hit a snag and just stop. Can some one just tell straight up how dificult it is to da a swap like this.

Easy,so long as you can search this site, read, research and learn up on EFI systems.
You also have to be able to understand basic wiring diagrams since youll have to make a custom wiring harness for the left side.

How hard it is,depends TOTALLY on how much you know about EFI engines. If its your first experience with EFI,then you will have a hard time.If youve been around fuel injection for a while, have some creativity and are able to grasp how things work and need to work, then it can be quite simple.
I did my 1st TII swap in 01' with little EFI experience, but lots of previous mechanical experience. I spent 3-4 months researching the TII engine before turning a single bolt.Had it installed and running inside of a week.........
