engine rebuild

i have a '84 mazda rx7 gs 12a. i am getting ready to rebuild it. can anyone tell me what all i need to rebuild it? some kits have engine gaskets and seals, some have apex seals, some have oil ring sets. so i need to know what all to get. or is there a for sure kit that has everything i need and how much? im trying to keep it cheap.

I just rebuilt my motor. All really depends on how everything looks when you take yours apart. I reused oil rings side seals and corner seals. But it really all depends on how everything fits if there in spec or not. So tear your motor apart and post some pics and we ll try to help you out.

get yourself the Rotary Aviation rebuild video
watch it a bunch of times until you know it like the back of your hand, then watch it again for good measure
tear apart your motor
post pictures of your housings/irons
---it may not be worth rebuilding your motor if you have to get yourself new housings/irons
if your hard parts are in good enough shape, get yourself a full rebuild kit.
---if you want your motor to last for a long time, it's not worth skimping and re-using old seals
