Engine Rebuild

I posted a few weks ago saying I threw an apex seal. It ruined the housing, and rotor of course.
I got another motor from a freind for free but i dont think that it is an 84 like my other one. The combustion chambers on the rotors are shaped differently, although the rotors are the exact same size.

Can I use one of these rotors in my 84 engine? or will that hurt it?

My oter rotor housing is also showing signs of seal "chattering" so i might swap out both housings for the ones from the other motor which i am assuming is an 82 or older.

You can't just use one rotor from the other engine.

You can swap both of them over but you must also swap the front counterweight and rear counterweight/flywheel. Use the housings as well if they're in better condition.

unfortunatly ther other rotor is rusted beyond repair. i have no idea how but it has almost completly deteriorated. I think im stuck.

I cant afford another rotary and i dont want to ruin my cars soul with a V6 or V8..... i just dont know what to do...

well bump i suppose.

I am going to forsake my username, get flamed, and become instantly unpopular in one sentence.

I cant afford to replace my rotary... im putting a V8 in my 7

get out the kitchen scale and weigh the rotors, if they are the same, you can interchange them

you also need to look at the letter that is stamped on the rotor bc i beleive the you can ones that are only 1 letter apart either up or downso if its a "B" you can either way, so for an "A" or a "C"

The fact that one's a 84 and the other's from an earlier engine pretty much gaurantees they are different weights.
