transmission fitment question

so if i dropped a 1st gen 13b into my 1st gen with a 12a can I use the transmission i already have in the car?

There was a thread a while ago about what transmissions and driveshafts would work with what engines and rear ends. Just search it.

You can even drop a Renesis from the RX-8 and use your stock transmission.

You shouldn't have to change anything with the trans and driveshaft if you drill a couple holes and move the motor mounts 3/4" forward.
