Engine Dies at Full Throttle, Won't Stay Running
Hello all! Was taking the 7 out for a little joy run, and about halfway up a really amazing backroad, the car cut out as if it wasn't getting fuel. As soon as I let off the throttle it kind of caught itself, but now whenever I give it gas, it cuts out. If I go jump start it (battery is kind of iffy as well), it'll idle just fine, right until I rev the engine.
My thinking is that I may have blown a water jacket, but I won't know for sure until I pull the spark plugs. I'm looking for steam cleaned ends, right? ;} Barring that, I have absolutely no idea. Short in the fuel pump? Clogged fuel lines? Fuel pump going out on me? Give me your worst, 7Club.
EDIT: Car is a 1984 GSL-SE 13B FI with the Racing Beat header and exhaust system. Emissions have been gutted, but otherwise stock.

check your bowls, check the plugs, but if it would be a water jacket it would be very hard to start and should not idle very well, someone correct me if i am wrong. Check your coils and ignition system like kentetsu said. check fuel pump flow rate and change all filters in the fuel system
UPDATE: Sorry about this seemingly dead thread. After the GSL-SE died I haven't had time to work on it/troubleshoot.
I charged up my battery and went to work last week! Checked my spark plugs, trailing and leading ignition, all checked out. I was leaning towards a clogged fuel pump. But eureka! I got the engine running after I accidently left the trailing ignition coil unplugged when trying to unflood. The engine ran! Albeit just long enough for the fuel to be used up.
So the ignition system checks out. I'm leaning towards the fuel system right now, as kutukutu1 pointed out. I'll be checking the filters and as a last resort, the injectors, in the coming month. And as soon as I find an inline fuel pressure gauge I'll be measuring that as well. How much PSI should the fuel pump be putting out?

Sounds like a fuel volume issue.
Filter, pump, tank pickup, or clogged lines.
FSM rates the fuel pump at 350-500 KPA which is 50-70ish PSI. As long as youre above 45PSI you shouldnt have any issues.
Volume is the important part, FSM says 1700cc/min minimum.. but as long as it pumps a decent amount you should be fine (around half that number should suffice).

I just got around to pulling the upper intake manifold off, along with both fuel injectors. The hoses are kind of nasty, so I'll be replacing those. Now that I have the manifold off, anything I should do maintenance wise to it? Also, there was place that rebuilt injectors, possibly in California. Does anyone have a link to their website?
I haven't found anyone with a pressure gauge yet, but I've been meaning to get the injectors rebuilt since last summer for unrelated issues.
