Engine Dies

Okay, Wierd problem. Everyonce in a while, while slowing from high RPM's when I push the clutch in my engine will drop to like 200 rpm and then die. It usually starts right back up again, but once it didn't want to. Most of the time, it just goes to about 800 RPM and idle's nicely. This only happens if i am rapidly slowing from high RPM, if I have just been cruising, then no problems. I just put on a new carb, fuel pump with pressure regulator, removed the rats nest and and put on a racing beat exhaust. I have the idle set at 800 and it idles smooth after warming up. The timing is right on the mark. Any suggestions?

You may have a very small vacuum leak at spacer.
