Emissions Removal... Worth it

ok so i have been doing some research on 12a emissions removal. I have a TII with removed emissions and it was a pain in the *** getting it to run right afterwards. I just bought a 85 gsl with a locked motor. with 206k on the odometer and 0 compression on each rotor (after atf), i decided to rebuild.

I am on the fence about wether or not to remove emissions. I don't have emissions testing, so thats not a problem. This will be my DD, going with a street port, rb exhaust, rebuilt (possibly sterling) carb. I have already yanked the motor and notice the rats nest is in shambles, missing vac lines, plugged lines etc...

The question is this: Is it worth a cleaner engine bay or do the risks outweigh the rewards? i know its about opinion but thats why i am asking. I have mechanical skills so thats not an issue here, but what do you all think?

Not sure what the benefits are on the SE, but on the carb models I really like the simplified engine bay when this is done. Removes a butt load of unnecessary weight too.

Since you are going with an RB exhaust, you pretty much are eliminating the heart of the emission system (cat). Under those conditions, you just as well not bother trying to repair the shambled rats nest.
If you had to worry about emission testing, you would need the nest.

Yup, I guess i could have stated that the reason for my question is i am unfamiliar with the 12a and have heard about some driveability issues people had. I am not too worried, i think i can hadle this I have decided that its coming off, **** it. Thanks for the responses.
