Cool Electronic OMP

Has anyone figured out a way of using the T2 electronic omp with a GSL-SE front cover?
When my T2 conversion was done, custom steel motor mounts were made for it and the T2 oil pan was modded(basically dented) to work with my FB front end. Worked very good, but I got some vibration from it. Got ahold of a GSL-SE front cover, oil pan and motor mount recently, so decided to put it the right way.
The big thing is the omp. I really don't want to premix if I can keep from it.

Anybody?

Thanks.

Im guessing it's an S5

If an S4 you can use just a GSL-SE mechanical OMP, much more reliable.

if an S5 do you need to run an electronic one, cause the ECU will think there is no OMP at all? Maybe there's some way of making it think there's an OMP there. But there's no way that I know of putting an S5 OMP into an older front cover.

Old news,please search.

I modded an SE front cover back in 02' to take the S5 OMP.You just need to do a little TIG welding and light machine work.Cost me about 175 bucks and took a week.Been running for almost 50K miles with no problems.
There is no way to fool the S5 ECU,the OMP signal is complex and constantly changing. You can run pre-mix and tie the S5 OMP up in the corner of the engine bay with the wires plugged in,but that is cheap and unprofessional.

Heres the only picture I have, kinda sucks but I never took any pics before I installed the thing......

I always premix, but I've left the OMP connected. After 2 years of premix the dilapidated old SE I saved from the crusher is purring like a kitten. Ultra-smooth idle.

I'm trying to figure out a 2-way OMP valve that will draw premix from a bottle but allow sump oil when there is no premix.
