Question Electrical shorts on 12a hvac?

Ok, drove my rex Thursday to work, and for lunch and after work backroad blasts. After my last blast, I decided to get some drive through food. While waiting in line, I turned on the a/c. At that point, the blower quit and no light on a/c or recirc. Ok, I tried several things, and nothing had an effect.

So just now I went out to examine the fuse box, pulled every single fuse and they all looked like new. Stumped, I started the car (started easily even without choke because I forgot to pull choke- I love this car) and the blower and a/c now work perfectly!(?) WTF.

Is there something that would cause this besides a blown fuse? Car is completely stock and in excellent mechanical condition- never wrecked (1985 GS)

The pressure in the AC system may be low enough to trip the circuit-breaker so the compressor pump won't engage at certain ambiant pressures and temperatures. But then again, I don't know much about AC type stuff. Weird problem you've got there. Or maybe it was a one time only fluke, or a loose electrical connection somewhere.

Take your fuseable links off & clean the connections. Than't always a possibility.

Yeah, it could have just been a fluke. This isn't a life or death problem like most posted here, but I think have a working defrost can be life or death. I would hate to be somewhere in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night and my defrost quit while my windshield keeps trying to fog up. I thought about the freon level since the a/c is cold but not COLD, but the compressor is sooo quiet- you can't even tell when I have the a/c on...... . .

Yeah, I need to try that since it did it again today. Took the rex for the 20 mile trip to buy beer in Bulls Gap (closets place that sells beer on Sunday)- thank God for blue laws. Bunch of hypocrites.

Well, going down the fourlane, I see a train is running alongside, and don't see the front. This road ends by crossing these tracks. I want to SPEED up but the road is blocked by two cars going the exact same speed. I finally get by, but it is too late- I arrive at the crossing just in time to see the train come into view. While waiting for this train to pass, I decide to actually listen to the stereo, and run the a/c- both work perfectly. After the train goes by, I turn off the a/c and leave the blower running. I drive the remaining 15 miles to Bulls Gap. I stop, turn off car and buy beer. On the way back I decide to clean windshield- but the windshiled wipers and fluid spray don't work. And the blower and a/c aren't working either. Everything else works. (?)
I get home, turn off car, then decide to just turn it backl on = EVERYTHING NOW WORKS PERFECTLY. WTF? Anybody have any clues? I don't like the idea of speeding in a sudden shower, and the wipers decide not to work.
