Hey i need some help on some Electrical problems. ok i was driving my car down this road and when i was driving i hit this big pot hole in the Road ok and as Soon an i hit it no more than a Second later i was starting to smell like electrical fire somewhere but couldnt find it. but soon after i smelled it i say Smoke come from Behind the Cluster and Smoke come from between the Drivers seat and the Emergency Brake so i looked under my car and i saw something buring under neath but soon figured that it somehow broke my E Brake Cable. i went and open the hood and looked by the battery and the ground wire that is on it was Fried just the end of it so i just cut that peice off and put it bak onto the battery and soon after that it Fried the Whole Wire it self. i know this what im saying might not make sense but im tryin so if u could maybe help me out or something i would glady like it. thank you

Id have to say the only thing that could fry that hard would be something to do with your starter. Ive been around the electrical system in a 7 a hell of alot. And for something to cook your neg cable on you battery?. Stop take a breath and look for damage elsewhere to find the source. Im sure a fuse would have blown before a wire got cooked. But start your looking at the starter. There is a small wire there that has a fabric cover. Perhaps that wire has become worn and is touching ground somewhere.
