Electrical Question

Anybody know where the ground for the instrument cluster is? I went looking today and couldn't find it. My gas gauge and temperature gauge read just a little below what they are. Also the interior dimming **** - if it is on the fritz would it make my cluster lights dimmer than they should be?

I believe you are on the right track looking for the bad ground. I do not know what year your car is, but the wiring diagram for my '79 shows that both the guages and the instrument lighting use the same ground. It is under the dash, just in front of and maybe above the fuse panel (it is hard to tell exactly from the diagram). It may be hard to find as there are alot of other components concentrated in the area.
