Electric Fan

I need a 18" Wide X 12" Tall E-fan for my radiator. What's the best brand to get? I want the most CFM's I can get.. Any Ideas?

Autozone and BD sell Imperial fans, most of them don't pull the cfm. If you want a new one, check, Summit, Jegs, etc.

If I were you, I would get a ford taurus fan since there is plenty of space betwee the engine and rad.

I dotn think autozone would have anything above 2K CFM.

Talking

black magic is good but very $$$.

Now for junkyard fan, I use fiero fan due to lack of space as Im running a 13-B block and I did not modify the radiator frame/mounts. The Fiero fan is ok but not as strong as a taurus. No one can beat a $25 junkyard price and there is plenty supply of Found On Road Dead taurus.

Yes, if you read my earlier post, it is and Imperial fan, the big one puts out 1200 cfm, iirc, and it was not big enough to cool my 2nd gen NA at 90* temps, driving in the city. It has a new home on the shelf. Thier fan is 50 bucks more than the same ones found at Advance Auto.

No I don't sorry. Space is so cramped in there it is hard to get a good shot.

I am also in the process of looking for a fan the same size you specified. The best bet would be to go w/ a dual set-up, kinda of like this dual 10in fan from summit.

What about putting a puller fan on one side of the rad and a pusher on the other side of the same rad? Like sandwiching the radiator between two fans, would this work, or just a stupid idea by me?>

May not be stupid but it would be ugly, and first time some one shot up any gravel you might loose fan #1. I have been driving around without a fan for a week now, as long as when its the middle of the day or your not in stop and go traffic I never have a problem with the heat going up. And if it does I just turn on the heater full blast and point it out the passenger window. I am investing in a 10 inch sigle fan that I am going to fab up to the stock shroud. I think.

No offense, but some of the taurus fan set-ups look like hack jobs. i would just buy a nice aftermarket 14in fan and ditch the OE shroud.
