Alright, I measured the small type rad, and for sure the black magic 150 is not gonna work. Anybody have an electric fan suggestion for an early type small radiator in a 1st gen? This is the last thing I have to buy to get my rotary spitfire going, otherwise, she is ready to run.

Well you will have to buy the e-fan at a Derale supplier store or any store that sells them. As far as installing the e-fan. the Derale installation kit comes with long brass wires that go through the radiator mesh and gets locking clamp like at the opposite end. I have the thermostat inside the radiator through the upper hose. But you can buy the ones that you can put through the radiator fins next to the upper radiator hose. Those also work fine...

Still looking online, nothing that will pull enough air and fit a 12X22" core. Might have to run two, puller and pusher, to get enough cooling. Anybody care to give me a hint on what to do?

SPAL. Racer Parts Wholesale www.racerpartswholesale.com has the 16" Hi-perf version for $150, and the thermostat wiring harness kit is $60. The thermostat kit is the kind that screws into the water pump housing, so it senses the water temp instead of the air temp. I like this concept better. (The Black Magic senses heated radiator air temp). It has a hysteresis setup so the fan turns on at 195 deg, and turns off at 175 deg (so it won't cycle constantly). It flows 2360 CFM but draws only 21.6 amps steady state -- a bit more efficient than the Taurus fan, which delivers approx. 2000 CFM and draws 33 amps steady state.
