Electric cooling fan recomendations?
Bone stock original 120K plainjane. bye to cooling fan clutch, soooo, go with electric? A little more hp at wheels? A GOOD electric should give me more cool when it goes gridlock right? Who did what and how did you like it? Give me company names, model #, anything specific that did or didn't. Thankx.

It cost a bit but I went with the Black Magic 150. Pick it up from Summit Racing. The fan comes with the termostat and all the wireing and hardware to install it. It works great.

I rebuilt a used fiero fan and it works great, most used elec fans will be off center and that will be uber gay. I wired mine up to a push button switch and only use it when needed. Im in Seattle so its used rarley to start with. If you must, use a thermostat but i kind of like the big red button under the dash which when pushed makes a whizzing sound out of the hood.

Ouch! I was never a fan of junkyard fans. I personally used 16" derale on my FB and RX-3. However, after reading threads about it, I gave it a shot. IT WORKS GREAT.
I have been going to junkyards every weekend for many years now but I never thought of that. I always thought they were junks but now I take it back. WELL, I DONT FEEL LIKE THAT ANYMORE. I SALUTE EVERYONE WHO DISCOVERED THE JUNK YARD FANS.

i used a taurus fan it works fine with a thermo switch i also drilled a bunch of 1/2 in holes in all the dead spots of the taurus shroud to allow air to flow through when driving to prevent heat soaked areas i have no cooling probs, unfortunaly i live on an island and the junkyards charge more than others so i paid more.

Yeah Jose... that inspires me to wanna clean my engine bay!
Anyway, with the electric fans... would I need to drill a hole in the radiator to insert the thermoswitch?
