Electric!
whats up, does anyone know where i can get an electric water pump for a 79 or do they even make one? pls let me know if u have any info. thanks

there's nothing wrong with my old one, i just want to take off more load from the engine... so i mad e a new bracket for the alternator and im gonna put an electric pump in

From what I have heard, the electric ones can sometimes crap out when you need them the most, sending your temps up high. The mechanical ones are just more reliable, but if you really want to go electric, then for sure, summitracing.com

On the electric waterpumps, I would just stick with a mechanical one. From my experience with the Fbody crowd (electric water pumps are a popular mod), people say that work great but tend to fail all of a sudden w/o much warning. With how harmful overheating is to rotaries in general, I wouldn't want to take the risk.

its really not that hard IanS, especially if u have a mig welder (i borrowed my friend's), you just have to be creative and find out what fits ur style and purpose....as for me, i don't really care how "pretty" it looks, all i want is good quality, functionality, and cheap prices lol
