EFI or Carb on 12a with RB Full exhaust?

My brother has an 85 rx7, and we don't have any experience with rotory motors, and are trying to get some more power out of his car. Our goal for the time being is to get the car as close to 200 hp as possible. The reason I ask about EFI is becuase I have saw on here that the EFI cars have quite a bit more hp with similar mods. The car currently has a full RB exhaust, and we are going to remove the rats nest and A/C soon. Thanks for the help guys.

Alot harder to adapt EFI to a 12a. Most of the EFI guys are making more hp cause it is installed on a 13B. A sterling carb would probably be the best method to start making more power from a stock port motor.

The fuel injected cars are making more power because they are bigger. I think it would be a huge pain in the *** to fuel inject the 12A. I'd street port it and get a Holley or Weber or Sterling. Of course you'll have to get exhaust for a street port too. Then you can always turbo.

EFI for a 12A is not that big of a deal if you use the right parts. Here are a few threads on it:

aside from that, there are some more expensive avenues to build based on any of your favorite carbies (Weber, Holley, Dell'Orto, etc...)
