Y'know, coming up with the title for the thread was tricky. I remember a few months ago some of you were interested in how those headlights performed.

I'll be able to take a photo of them in the dark on Sunday, so if anyone's interested, I'll post up pictures of how the beam spread is in Low and High Beam.

i bought a pair and for some reason they dont bolt right up.
the porjector type thing is not even centered right on any of the two.
maybe i got a dud or something but im just gonna buy the clear ones from black dragon.

did yours fit in there nice without problems?

Yes, mine went in just fine. Altho I did need to finagle the passenger side because the previous owner got a really bad headlight retaining ring. Otherwise, no problems at all. However, there was one small problem that I encountered, and thankfully fixed. The tiny screws that hold the projector lenses in can be rattled loose and fall out, causing the projector to go askew. Thankfully the valance caught the screw and I was able to find it and put it back in. Anyone that gets these headlights should tighten up those projector screws and also make sure the headlights do not wobble once mounted in the car.

I actually like them. The Low Beam spread takes some getting used to. But, the High Beam spread is wonderful. Maybe this is why other companies charge $60 for a pair of their projectors, because they're made differently on the inside. But, for the time being and the money I had, these are a great upgrade compared to my tired stock headlights.

I'd like to see how the beam is and the color of the light.
Some good lamps I have used are the Hella with the replaceable bulbs. They are very bright with a good light up angle on low beam and super long distance on high.
Another that I've used is the Sylvania Silverstars. They have a very white light that is not offensive to oncoming drivers. And the high beam range is also significant.

Just a quick note on the Silverstars; I have always used the Xtravision bulbs (by Phillips, I believe) and have always like them. But a couple of weeks ago, one of them finally burned out on my Audi so I headed to the parts store. I had a little extra cash on me this time, so I figured I'd give the Silverstars a shot.

Results? Well, the Silverstar bulb was not nearly as bright as the Xtravision (as seen shining against the wall of the parts store). So I wondered if it might be a wiring issue, and swapped the bulbs around. The results were the same (Xtravision was still much brighter). The difference is not very noticeable when driving, but every time I pull up in front of my garage I'm reminded that I should have stayed with the Xtravision bulbs, which are also half the price of the Silverstars. FYI.

Damn, Hyper4mance pretty much made the deal null and void. I don't have HID's, just the Hyper Whites that came with the headlights. And, that tiny blue light is called a "City Light". You can hook it up via however means you want. I left it unconnected but left the bulb in there. If you remove it, you have to worry about dirty coming inside the housing, and who needs that?

Anyways, if anyone is still interested, even tho there were apparently links already made (I pop in and out from time to time so it's not like I keep track of anything), I'll post up some pictures. Otherwise, screw it. Up to everyone else if they want to see.

Alright, come Sunday, when I'll be heading home, it'll be dark. I'll have a stretch of road that I can take a picture of with the headlights on. Hopefully my camera will be able to capture it just fine.
