I like the speaker wire on his coils.....

Rotors from the 70's would not fit in his 12a rebuild correct?

It says that he spared no cost in the rebuild of this car yet i think my 3 yr old could do a better job at building that engine bay. Hell I slamed my engine together and it still looks better than that. Look at it this way guys if he gets 3500+ for that then we know what our 1st gens are worth.

It's got a nasty pull, If he lengthened the injector pulse, and tuned the NOS timing he'd run 9's :P

Yeah, but when the intake in them has been bridged and ported, it really weakens them...unless you get JDM Cosmo intake heads.

ebay should consider using a "knowledge test" to weed out those that no nothing about engines. here's what i sent to the seller:

it's obvious u know nothing about rotaries. rotaries don't have heads. and if by saying heads, u mean rotor housings, then ur statememt: "You can run the 12a or rebuild the 13b with the heads from the 12a motor", isn't possible. using the 12a rotor housings, u'd also need the rotors and e-shaft, thereby creating a 12a engine. also, it takes more than 25 miles to breakin and engine.

Bwhahaha!! He imported two techs from Puerto Rico! Wow, they must be really good, I bet he went through alot of trouble trying to get them through customs....
He spared no expense and yet it needs a master cylinder and a radio.... WOW, this guy is quite a piece of work. I never thought of bridgeporting heads, I think I will do that to my Honda, maybe I can get it to brap...

Umm... he said that because you don't import people. You import things. "Things" you import go through customs. And you also don't "import" from within the country, yet the guy said he "imported two of the techs to build the car".

If I'm wrong about this, then I should get going an import a cute girl from the west coast asap.. might be easier than picking one up in a bar.

pssh. You're in Ottawa, mang. Just pop down to the Russian consolate and ask if they have any strippers sent over on a "work program" you can buy for $1.99/lb.

i dunno, with it running 11s the buyer of this machine better be careful with the NOS, or they may risk blowing the intake welds... :-p

we all need to send that message to him

Vehicle Description

This auction is for my street race car, a 1985 rx7. The motor is blue print to run 11 seconds in the quarter mile with nos. We took a perfectly running car and rebuilt the motor from the ground up with a goal for 11 seconds and street legal at the same time. It runs and drives 110% and can be driven anywhere. If you know anything about these rotary engines...the following would make sence. the intake in the heads have been bridged and ported and the exhaust ported. the rotors are from a late 70's motor which my builder insisted on getting (something about higher compression). racing beat single seal at the apex of each rotor. Intake manifold is racing beat with some mods. 4 barrel holly carb. racing beat headers welded directly into a custom 2 1/2 pipe going straight back into a magnaflow muffler. the car really roars (loud) with insane power. it revs past 10,000 rpm. The body had some dings but no rust. all glass is clean with tint on the door windows. I own a repair shop and supervised the rebuild personally. For this project, I consulted with a race shop in Puerto Rico and imported two of the techs to build the car. there was no skimping on any of the items that it required. The 25 miles on the car are what is required following the rebuild to break-in the engine. It has yet to be track tested. reason for sale? I love speed but had no idea what i was getting into when i commissioned this project. Now I found out that I just don't think I have the ***** to powershift this thing at 10,000 rpm. my wife reminds me that I have 3 kids at home with a business to run. email if you have any questions. The car is located at 635 Richmond Road in Staten Island NY. You are welcome to come and see the car. the reserve is set at 3500 which is a fraction of what I spent on the car. this does not include the nos kit. I did not install the kit not tested it on the car. it need a brake master cylinder, radio. It will also need an descent amp to power the speakers behind the seat which are included. If you like these cars, you will love this one.

On Jun-09-07 at 08:42:51 PDT, seller added the following information:

Note that this motor in the car is a 12a engine. I have a disassembled 13b motor that I will throw in for an additional 200 bux or free if the buyer uses the buy it now. the 13b was removed from a rx3 doing high nines. one of the head is warped and therefore will need to be replaced. You can run the 12a or rebuild the 13b with the heads from the 12a motor. that was going to be my next upgrade to get the car down to high nines with spray. I also have the carb cap and filter from racing beat sitting in the back of the car.

They would, but why would you use them? They are heavier and have lower compression.
