your right, it's fun as hell and i get the same gas mileage as n/a. now lets think, a street port with bigger carb gets what kind of mileage.
if you do the math on overall fuel spending, it will pretty much equal out. also, 200+ REAR wheel horsepower AND torque compared to i dunno 140 - 160hp with much less torque for the cost of a rebuild and labor... which is atleast double what i spent to get what you see in that picture.
i still say turbo is the easiest, best overall way to achieve his goal.
you dont even have to pull the motor out! AAHHAHA WOOHOOOOO!

But premium gas is expensive.
Do a search on "Street Port" and supplement it with a carb and exhaust.

True. A streetport will do it, but it wuould have to be a pretty big one. With a loud exhaust, low fuel mileage. Normally aspirated 200 hp is pretty fun though!!!
A 13b swap or a turbo on a 12a I think would be the best bet too. But not a ghetto setup, a nicely setup system like FBII's

lol it isn't difficult, but for the first timer going at it... it's not easy. just do all the research you can and youll get thru it, but like any major project expect your car to be down for a bit.
the turbo is a stock series 4 TII
at the moment i'm running 10psi, but have run 16psi before and probably will this weekend. LOL
how long till i blow the engine??? i dunno i check the compression every weekend and the car cranks right up like it's fuel injected. i know the symptoms of the motor wearing out hahahaha so we'll see. it's doing damn good so far, ESPECIALLY since this motor sat for 10 years and i just pulled it out of a junk car and boosted the **** out of it

yeah, my car was just down for about a year getting new paint, and I'm not too crazy about starting a project, so it'll probably wait. It's something to think about for the future though.
