e85 Methanol
i was reading on an escort forum. about how someone was converting their car to run on e85. all the said you had to do was compensate for the 30% air in the fuel. they said bigger injectors. so i figure just jet a carb up higher, and new lines so they wont rot. does anyone else have experience with this, or am i going to have to be the guinea pig.

Ive read that people have compensated between 28 and 35 present in added fuel

You'll be burning almost twice as much e85 so what ever your AVG MPG is now, subtract 20-40%. Depending on how you drive. So it might be cheaper by the gallon but you'll use almost twice as much of it. (20% more at cruise)
General rule of thumb is 20% richer on the primary and secondary jets. I'd try going 10 on the primarys and 20 secondarys and open up the primarys slowly as necessary.
I'd guess you would need some sort of fuel lube additive as well. Using 40% more fuel in the combustion chamber and 85% of that 40% is ethanol which will wash down oil in the Comb. chamber. It would probably wear out a rotary very quickly. Then again, I'm not sure how much lube e85 has in it?
You'll also need a larger fuel pump to handle all the extra fuel. I'd like to know how this works on a carb'd nikki setup. I just finished helping a friend set up his grand national on e85. But fuel injection is totally different. It works awesome with turbo applications. I'd suggest alcohol injection instead....
