e-Brake problem. Help please.

Didn't know which section to put this in but this is probably the best.

This is now the only thing that I need to do to get my project car on the road.

It's a series 2 RX7 with S5 discs and calipers on the front and back. The problem is the rear calipers had to be put on the rear of the disc on the back because they were hitting the strut, now I can't figure out how I'm going to run the handbrake cables.

Has anyone done this or have any constructive criticism? I really need to figure this out, even a brake place that should know everything can't figure it out.

I'm not sure what you're saying...aren't the calipers always mounted on the rear of the disc?

Do you need to replace the rear sections of the cable when performing this swap?

I did on the 85 GSL-SE rear end into '85 GS swap I just did. I used the rear part of the cables from my GSL-SE parts car. Maybe this is what he's talking about.

Yes I probably will need to replace the cables to work with the series 5 calipers but that's not what I was asking.

64mgb do you know where the cables ran for those calipers? The series 2 I have has the rear calipers closer to the front of the car. I should probably also mention it has a hilux diff in it, which could be contributing to the fact the calipers hit the body of the car if they're on the front of the disc.

I understand what you are saying. I think you should ask your question in this thread. https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-specific-1979-1985-18/q-abour-re-speed-big-brake-kit-567093/ .

There are a couple people in there who have done the FC=S5 brake conversion front and rear that could tell you what the did to make it work

OK...I completely misread your post. I thought you were talking about putting the SE rear end in, not the FC rear end. Sorry.
