are the e-brake cables for rear disk different than e-brake cables for rear drum? I uh....."lost" one today. the local pick n pull has a rear drum, and i have rear disk.

 

I'm pretty sure they're different. The drum cable goes through the backing plate and locks in with 3 prongs, the disc stays outside and goes to the caliper.

 

I kind of figured, but i hadn't seen one before so i figured I'd ask. guess I'll have to deal with one side until the scrap yard has the right stuff :/

 

Cables from the lever to the y are the same. Cables to each individual brake are different.

 

Wandering around to diagnose my own eBrake issue and saw this, so answering... late, but with it being so hard to search the forums... might be useful for someone in the future.

Yes. The Blackdragon.com catalog has them listed A and B, where A is for rear drum brakes and B is for Disc:
