Dual Outlet

I bought a Header Flange (Regular Flange not the Road Race Flange) for a 12A from Racing Beat, along with four, four foot pipes that I plan to cut and weld together in some way and fabricate me some headers. (First Time, Looking to apply newly Developed skill) Now should I run two pipes all the way out or merge them together with a collector and maybe a megaphone for bigger single piping on the way out??? Thanks for your thoughts.

Dual all the way is going to sound dumb in my opinion. That aluminized thinwall pipe adds insult to injury.

SIXSERIESCSI, you don't want to bother with a megaphone because it is very thinwall and noise will transfer through it and sound dumb. Since your engine is a 2 rotor, you can stick with the standard 2" OD pipe you already have. Just get a Y adaptor or make your own (easier said than done) and a couple U-bends to get yourself up over the rear axle and for the header.

I fabbed a header for the GLC project. I went with RB thickwall pipe all the way. It's quiet at idle and loud on throttle. Perfect.

For the next exhaust project, I'm going with thickwall RB pipe and an RB header for my application. I added an O2 bung. The mufflers are 17 year old Rotary Engineering glasspacks. They last almost forever on a rotary. I expect this exhaust to sound exceptionally good and flow far better than anything in 2.5 or above. I'm keeping the pipe diameter at 2".

By Thickwall do mean .120 ??? Thanks for the heads up on the Megaphone, I thought it was all made out of the same material seeing as how it's all Racing Beat. Now you say Dual all the way is going to sound dumb? Why is that, is it the thickness of the pipe or the sound produced? Any Pictures Jeff20B
