So who's got em and whered you mount em? Im trying to figure out where to put mine. Pics if you got them!

 

ive seen alot of people put them in their air dams. Since thats sorta what the holes are there for. But if you dont have an air dam(like me) i have no clue. But im interested to find out so i can do it also

 

If you don't have an Air Dam, they look like ****. Makes the car look bucked tooth.

 

Airdam is the best location, since it covers up the mounting points, but you can also use the holes in the underside of the bumper, as I think that Mazda made some that are spaced just about right to avoid the 'buck-toothed' look that DirectFreak is talking about.

My signature line can be clicked to show a bigger picture of what the 5" round lamps look like in my airdam. I had to custom cut the holes for them to fit, and will be installing a set of amber Pilot's pretty soon. The plastic lenses on the ones that are in there tend to get chewed up by road sand really fast and then cast a faint pattern.

Plus, I think amber lights will look better on a yellow car.

Agreed. Very gortesque, and akin to the numerous redneck ricers that are all too prominant....well, everywhere.

I had really small flat ones on my '79, and you could barely see them, but I also have an airdam. They're mounted to the bumper though, in the two holes about 1.5' apart from each other...

i was thinking of mounting them on top of the bumper or on the panel that is just above the bumper... What do you think good or bad?
Mounting anything underneath the bumper I think is a bad idea in my area it would just get ripped right off.. And the roads I drive on that I will use these lights are just as bad. On a couple of the downhill hairpin turns the bottom of my bumper only comes a few inches from the ground so one good bump and bye bye lights.

 

hmmm.... those look like they belong on the roll bar on my truck man....

they might give you that cool rally look though... I like that look

 

hehe... i have another set just like it on my WRX mounted on the bumper. They really are the best lights i've seen as far as brightness and range go.

 

I just re-read the site... they're only 6.25" in diameter, that's not so bad. My Baja lights on my truck are like 8" diameter. They would look sweet if you were going for the rally look though.
